A non-profit organization dedicated to supporting neurodiverse individuals, children, youth, adults, and multicultural families through inclusive programs, education, advocacy, and community support across British Columbia.
MINDS Society was created with a vision of building stronger and more inclusive communities by supporting families affected by autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, learning differences, and other neurodiverse conditions — while also recognizing the unique experiences of multicultural, immigrant, and newcomer families.
We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive in a safe, supportive, respectful, and inclusive environment regardless of their developmental, communication, learning, or support needs.
Our organization aims to reduce barriers to support by helping families access resources, navigate available services and funding programs, connect with community supports, and participate in inclusive educational, recreational, and developmental opportunities.
To empower neurodiverse individuals and multicultural families through inclusive programs, education, advocacy, community engagement, and accessible support services that promote belonging, growth, independence, and overall well-being.
To create inclusive, compassionate, and culturally welcoming communities where neurodiverse individuals and families are respected, supported, empowered, and given equal opportunities to succeed and thrive.
These values shape everything we do — from how we design our programs to how we welcome every family through our doors.
We promote environments where every individual feels welcomed, valued, respected, and included.
We celebrate multiculturalism, neurodiversity, and the unique strengths of every individual and family.
We provide support with empathy, understanding, kindness, and respect.
We encourage individuals and families to build confidence, independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
